Cartasso Naveyra counsels private sector firms in addition to his post of university and postgraduate professor. He has served as director at several LLCs. From 1998 to 2001, he was Manager of Legal Affairs at Líneas Aéreas Privadas Argentinas S.A. airline. In 2001, he started his first law firm in the city of Buenos Aires and in 2020, he founded Cartasso Naveyra Abogados (CNAbogados). He has extensive experience in counseling businesses as regards corporate, commercial and legal affairs. Within the commercial aviation sector, he is the legal counsel and proxy of large European and Latin American firms, and of small Argentine companies. He represents local insurance companies in Argentina and, at the international level, acts for reinsurers, reinsurance brokers and aeronautical insurers in Argentina in his capacity of legal counsel. In addition to his work on lawsuits involving airline accidents in Argentina and Latin America, he has provided legal counsel and was involved in the defense of two commercial airlines after their respective air accidents: LAPA S.A. (at Jorge Newbery Airport), and Austral (in Fray Bentos, Uruguay).
Academic experience: Public utilities and economic regulations in commercial aviation transport lecturer, as part of the Master’s in Administrative Law program at AUSTRAL University. Aeronautical and space law postgraduate specialization second year full professor at the National Institute of Aviation and Space Law (INDAE). He currently offers a graduate-level class on aviation law at the Catholic University (UCA) of Argentina, and an undergraduate class at Salvador University (USAL). Over the years, he has conducted a range of seminars and conferences on aviation law.
